Literal search, no surprises
What you type in Find is searched for exactly as written — dots, brackets and other symbols are not treated as patterns — and Replace is inserted literally too, so "$1" or "$&" stay as they are. After replacing, the tool tells you how many replacements it made, or that nothing was found. Tick Case-insensitive to match "Name", "name" and "NAME" alike. For pattern-based searches, use the Regex Tester.
