The rules applied
Letters are lowercased and accents removed (ș → s, ß → ss), & becomes "and", and every run of other characters becomes a single hyphen, with none left at the start or end. "Școala și țara: 10 lucruri & altele!" becomes scoala-si-tara-10-lucruri-and-altele. Because "and" is English, replace & with your own word first for a slug in another language. Text in Cyrillic, Greek or other alphabets has no Latin letters to keep, so you're asked to transliterate it first.
Good slugs for search
Google's guidelines recommend readable words in URLs and hyphens rather than underscores to separate them. Keep the slug short, drop words that add nothing ("the-ultimate-guide-to"), and don't change it after the page is published unless you redirect the old address.
